Hi my name is Desiree. I love cooking and baking. It has always been something I enjoy doing. I love making something out of a bunch of ingredients and serving my family and friends something they talk about for days. I love to break bread with my loved ones. It brings us together, brings us closer, gives us a chance to talk face to face without technology getting involved. We can get to know each other better through food.
As far as my backstory, I worked at my family’s German bakery for 10 years. I started there at the young age of 11, helping customers at the counter fulfill their sweet tooth cravings, then I eventually learned how to decorate cakes and bake the yummies. When I was a teenager, I added working at a family owned homestyle deli to my belt, and I loved it there too. I sliced meat, made salads and sandwiches after school, then worked at the bakery in the early hours of the morning on the weekends and had a great time doing it.
As an adult, I moved on to other endeavors, but I am always brought back to food. And I want to share that enjoyment and love of all things delicious and pretty with you.
